Quote of the Week: The All-Inclusive Christ

September 24, 2013

“You must consecrate yourself sincerely to the Lord for the simple purpose of enjoying and experiencing Himnothing more. From the moment you awake in the morning you need to say, ‘Lord, here I am. I give myself to enjoy Thee. Grant me through the entire day, from this moment on, to experience and apply Thee in every situation. I am not asking for tomorrow. I am asking for grace to enjoy Thee today.’”

From The All-Inclusive Christ by Witness Lee (mass-distribution ed., p. 173). Bibles for America gives this book away for free. You can order your free copy on our order page. You can also download a free PDF version here.

God is good all the time

    • Ditto!

    • In the brief quiet time that I spent this morning I remembered that all I need is the PRESENCE OF GOD and everything else will be just as it should be. In other words GOD was not santa this morning. I remember years ago when I prayed, meditated and studied just to increase my time within the presence of GOD. What wonderful times I had. I am trying to become consistent in seeking GOD just for HIS presence once again. When one walked away and became seriously carnal for years there have been many prices to pay. I ask for prayer that I can just be consistent and accept just where I am at the moment. Thanks, Stan Cape

        Dear Stan,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We would like to point out a verse and footnote in the Recovery Version for your encouragement:

Philippians 2:13 – “For it is God who operates in you both the willing and the working for His good pleasure.”

Footnote 1 for this verse says “we have the Lord Jesus as our pattern, as the standard of our salvation, and we also have God operating in us both the willing and the working that our salvation may be carried out, brought to its ultimate conclusion. It is not that we by ourselves carry it out, but that God operates in us to do it. The only thing we need to do is to obey the inner operating God.”

It’s wonderful to be reminded that He is faithful! May we be those who are obeying Him so that He can operate in us.
